Statue of Liberty in There
Well, was it my last post in there4all, I said, you should always be open in you plans and your heart in there, and see where it leads? I think it was... Our group at CCR are just the best people, I never know what I'll be doing after it.. Last night was no exception.. I got asked if I wanted to see something cool in there I got to summoned to see this.. Isn't it wonderful? Well I think so.
There's statue of Liberty!
I liked it so much, prolly cus the real statue was such a sore point for me.. You know that was one issue between me and my old college roommate that never got resolved. Besides the one about her deciding she liked my boy friend. Hard to believe I could still have such strong feelings, but hardly remember her name. After that weekend, I put lots of distance for a while.
To be honest, now that I am older, and hopefully wiser. I think I understand where she was coming from too. She was very competive, and extremely jealous, and he was her friend from her old school. I'm coming to realize just how territorial we women can be. The part I don't get was, if she was a lesbian, why on earth did she care if I dated him? Tom was prolly the best thing that could have happened to me after Ed. He was a truly a gentleman and i do believe he loved me as much as i loved him.
Anyway, I digress, a lot.. My one trip to NYC, was with Fran to meet Tom. She was going to share her city with me. At the time I lived in CT. I prolly should have gone myself, but 10 years after college, it seemed like a great plan. There was only 2 things I wanted to see, central park and the statue. I wanted to look up my grandparents name in the registry. I had the number and everything back then. We spent too much at central park I guess, and she was pushing me along, so we wouldn't be late. hehe Tom knew i was always late.. On the subway, I saw the statue of liberty in passing. It was beautiful.
I have always loved buildings, statues and structures. In There is no exception. We have the most talented people. They are just great and sometimes they just really shine, you know. just as great as meret was for making it, was the person who's plan it was to say, hey lets see if we can get someone to make this. The event tonight will be great. I'm sure.. just crowded.
